City and county workers’ schedules impacted by presidential rallies

Non-essential employees of Allegheny County and the City of Pittsburgh are permitted to leave work at noon due to the campaign rallies.

Additionally, on Monday, the city and county are requesting that all individuals and businesses refrain from making needless trips into and out of Downtown Pittsburgh.

Due to the heavy traffic and road closures that will affect the city, Pittsburgh Public Schools declared that Monday will be a half-day.

According to Pittsburgh Regional Transit, the Downtown Service Center will close at noon and its non-essential staff will be let go. All bus, light rail, and Mon Incline lines will continue to run normally, and customer service agents will be available during regular business hours by working from home.
